I've modified the script to check for Dolby Atmos Renderer Remote as well. Check out the package Sree - Pro Tools Editing for more Surround scripts.
Dolby Atmos Mono Output / Bus Renamer
This can be used either in the Output Tab or the Bus Tab. This is because this is mono and hence can be tabbed and named incrementally. Say you want to have 10 outputs named DX_1 to DX_10. The steps are as follows:
- Create 10 Mono Outputs / Bus
- Double Click and select the first field to be renamed
- Run the Script
- Enter the Prefix of the Output. Here it will be DX
- Enter the starting Object Number
- Enter the End object Number
- Sit Back and relax
Dolby Atmos Stereo Bus Renamer
This is to be used Only in the Bus Tab. This is because the Bus can be stereo, but in order to associate it with an Object number, the sub paths have to be mono. So for example, if I want to create 10 stereo FX, I will have to have the objects numbered 1 to 20 (10 Stereo). This script can start from any number to any number as long as they total to an odd number. So for example you can have 5 to 10 or 8 to 11. You cant have 5 to 7 as the count algorithm isnt correct. The steps are as follows:
- Create 10 Stereo Bus with Subpath
- Select the 10 Busses created
- Option+Shift Click the first triangle on the left of the first Bus name so that they are all expanded to show the subpaths
- Double Click and select the first field to be renamed
- Run the Script
- Enter the Prefix of the Output. Here it will be FX
- Enter the starting Object Number. Here it will be 1
- Enter the End object Number. Here it will be 20
- Sit Back and relax
Dolby Atmos Stereo Output Renamer
This is to be used Only in the Output Tab. This is because the Hardware Output can be stereo for Atmos.
- Create 10 Stereo Outputs
- Double Click and select the first field to be renamed
- Run the Script
- Enter the Prefix of the Output. Here it will be FX
- Enter the starting Object Number. Here it will be 1
- Enter the End object Number. Here it will be 20
- Sit Back and relax
